The Grandman Triathlon makes a Splash starting with a 1/3rd mile swim in picturesque Mobile Bay at the Fairhope Pier.  As the participants continue their 18-mile trek by bike through the charming city of Fairhope, over 1,500 supporters enjoy the beachside park as they wait for their friends and family to make the final run along the Bay and back to the celebration of their accomplishment. 

Enjoyed by both beginners and seasoned triathletes, the Grandman not only gives us additional programing funds but also gives us the opportunity to highlight Mobile Baykeeper’s mission of Clean Water, Clean Air & Healthy Communities.  Exciting and family-friendly, the Grandman Triathlon encourages people of all ages to enjoy the beauty of the Gulf Coast while aiding worthy causes in their community.

Kentucky River Splash, Frankfort, KY

Paddle to celebrate the opening of the Kentucky River Water Train Alliance “Pool 4” & join us for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! Participants are invited to race a 1Ž4 mile loop as a kayak single racer or a canoe team of two participants.  Races take place from 10:00am – 3:00pm and participants can choose to race more than once!  Official Ribbon Cutting & Dedication Service will take place at 12:00pm. 

 

Throughout the day, enjoy free paddleboard demos and a riverside mini-festival featuring children's art activities and booths from local food vendors, businesses and event partners.  Proceeds benefit the vital programs of Kentucky Riverkeeper—a dedicated organization founded to restore the Kentucky River.

Buzzards Bay Swim, New Bedford, MA

Challenge yourself with the 20th annual Buzzards Bay Swim, while raising funds to protect an essential natural resource.  Buzzards Bay is a national treasure and one of the cleanest estuaries on the east coast, but the threats to its health are mounting.  The fully supported 1.2-mile Swim takes place the morning of Saturday, July 13, 2013.  Swimmers start at Fort Taber in New Bedford, MA and end on a sandy beach in Fairhaven, MA, with breakfast and a lively celebration at the finish line, and transportation back to the start.  The event attracts more than 350 swimmers of all ability levels; swimmers can choose from multiple starts, ranging from more accomplished swimmers to swimmers who prefer a kayak escort.  By participating in Buzzards Bay Swim, you are making the statement that clean water and a healthy environment are important and helping to raise much-needed funds to help protect our precious Buzzards Bay.  Your fundraising supports the education, conservation, research, and advocacy work of the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

Established in 2011, the annual New York Harbor Regatta at Governors Island is becoming one of the premiere sailing events in NYC; engaging people in the importance of the Harbor while generating funds to support maritime education and environmental initiatives. 
 
On October 4, 2013, hundreds of sailors and supporters from New York’s media, finance, education, maritime and business communities will set sail in New York Harbor against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty, downtown Manhattan and Governors Island aboard historic America’s Cup 12 Metre yachts, Manhattan Sailing Club J/24s and deluxe spectator vessels. 
 
After the race, sailors, spectators and hundreds of New Yorkers will head to Governors Island for the Post-Regatta Bash on the Beach, complete with live reggae music, Dark ‘n’ Stormies, Fishers Island Oysters and more.
